Vår ansökan till Riksantikvarieämbetet gällande Hökarängsarkivet har beviljats!

We have received a grant for renovating and documenting today's Hökarängen in two special projects. The projects are linked to the doctoral thesis of Maryam Fanni in Design at the Gothenburg University.  The projects, expanding and renovating the archive, will start in september and be finished two months later, to open again in november 2024.

Hökarängsarkivet contains mostly of older archival material documenting the Swedish "folkhem" as a societal project. Today Hökarängen is a suburb where people coming from a diversity of cultures and countries live. 33,1%, in Hökarängen are born outside of Sweden compared to an averag of 22.7%

This project aims to document, tales of migration and see how the cultural diversity influence and reflects in the cityscape of Hökarängen.

Congratulations to all of you interested in the history of Hökarängen and the people living here! Also congrats to Maryam Fanni and the amazing voluntary group working with the archive, and all people involved in Konsthall C.
