Emma Holmgren is exhibiting in our self-organized gallery.

“With my hands I mould clay, just as we have been moulded. What I explore in my artistic work is malleability. How we are shaped by encounters with people and by different events. Each sculpture is a unique interpretation of a person, event, encounter or feeling.

In my artistic practice I want to touch the psychological part of being human. I see each unfired clay that I mould as the soul. I draw a lot of inspiration from psychology.

Humanity, body, social norms, human rights, care, tenderness, inclusion, neuropsychiatric and future are what I want to portray through various media such as performance, sculpture and video.”

On 19 October at 14:00 the exhibition will open with a performance where the result will be the final sculpture that is shown at the exhibition during the week.
