Step into the small Centrifug exhibition space and take your place in a world of large and small works of art. Wander around miniature landscapes made of natural materials and be drawn into watercolor and acrylic paintings with the theme of growing and building homes.

Hannes Enocksson is 26 years old and has been working as an artist full-time for a year now. He is inspired by nature, queer expression and the search for big and small questions.

About the art

The focus has been both on the physical place that we call home, but above all on the abstract idea of what a home is. Building a "house" of good relationships, healthy routines, a joyful everyday life, a contact with emotional life, etc. is just as important as the material home, or maybe even more important.

Some homes make us grow, others give us no room to develop.

Hannes has worked in miniature to process the feeling of growing so much that you no longer have room, and are forced to shrink, or move out.

Being in contexts that are not safe can feel like living in a burning house. With his acrylic paintings, he expresses the feeling of getting out, and leaving everything you have in the fire to survive yourself, see the ruins after the fire and mourn what is no longer left, and then be able to sow new seeds that can grow in the scorched earth.
